For a Japanese Manufacturer of Textile Garments: VIETNAM TEXTILE GOODS SUBCONTRACT FACTORY SEARCH & EVALUATION

Tasks: To generate a Long List and screen into a Short List of good textile product subcontract factories in Vietnam. Strategic intent was to outsource local Japan production as part of a cost leadership strategy and supply chain management plan.

Screening Criteria (Specifications of Target Factories)
1. Must be the factories which produce textile products made from polyester.
2. Must be the factories which can produce finished goods.
3. Must be the factories which can procure raw materials (polyester) by themselves.
4. Must be the factories which have export experience.
5. Must be the factories which can produce more than 10 thousand garments per month.
5. Must be the factories which can produce more than 10 thousand garments per month.
6. Must be the factories which have fine quality control system such as QC inspection, humidity control, 5S etc.
7. Must be the factories which are not in joint venture with Japanese companies.

Results: Based on our screening and arranged meetings, the client was able to negotiate with the shortlisted factory owners and successfully enter into a production contract.
